Driving Better Mental Health

Driving Better Mental Health in Logistics

5asideCHESS is proud to be getting behind two new mental health initiatives. Between April 30th and May 2nd, 5asideCHESS and the Battling Suicide Bus will be on stand 3F10 at the Commercial Vehicle Show for the launch of the Driving Better Mental Health campaign.

Why are we Supporting Mental Health in Logistics?

At least 30% of self-reported illnesses in the logistics industry are mental health related. This figure would be much higher if their wasn’t such a stigma surrounding mental health in the logistics industry. Drivers are suffering in silence.
They work long hours on their own. Spend days away from home. Live a sedentary lifestyle and often work to high pressured schedules. And it’s time to make a change.

Driving Better Mental Health

Invites have been sent to the people we think can be ‘gamechangers’ in the logistics industry, asking them to back the Driver Better Mental Health campaign and help put together a green paper of ideas for improving mental health across the industry.
If you’re planning to attend the show or are in the area come and see us on the stand to find out more. If you can’t make it but have ideas and would like to get involved, get in touch with us at hello@5asidechess.com

#happy2talk

The Commercial Vehicle Show will also see the launch of our brand new ‘show you care wear’ 5asideCHESS #happy2talk wristbands. These bands are more than just wearing a cause on your wrist. They show the world that you’re a game changer whose actively willing to make a difference in the world by connecting, talking and taking the time to listen to others.
Bands will be available at the show for a minimum donation of £1 each with all the profits going to Care after Combat. They will also be available direct from us for the same minimum donation plus postage with profits going to the Driving Better Mental Health campaign so if you want to wear to show you care, get in touch with us at hello@5asidechess.com.
